Todd Ray, DMD
A native of Maine, Dr. Todd Ray has been practicing dentistry in South Portland since 2000. He holds his bachelor degree in biology from Union College, and his doctorate of dental medicine from Tufts University. Before graduating and receiving honors on his national board exam from Tufts in 2000, Dr. Ray worked in the Tufts University postgraduate endodontic clinic during his first-year summer. His experience there deepened his knowledge and interest in endodontics (root canals) and it remains a professional passion along with orthodontics, prosthodontics, TMJ treatments and cosmetics.
Dr. Ray’ s affiliations have included the Greater Portland Dental Society, the Maine Dental Association (with whom he is a past executive board member), and the American Dental Association. In 2018, he was appointed by the Governor of Maine to the Maine Board of Dental Practice, where he served on the State Board as a member and Complaint Officer for five years.
Dr. Ray keeps up on the latest and most predictable dental techniques through his membership with the Pankey Institute, local and national small group study clubs, The Seattle Study Club, and Frank Spears Study Clubs.
In his spare time, Dr. Ray enjoys family time in nature and on the ski slopes.
